Helium Tank Rental

Helium Balloon Inflation & Tank Rental Information

When inflating balloons with helium, it’s important to know how much helium each balloon size requires. Below are

the common sizes and their helium capacity:

  • 11" latex balloon → 0.5 cubic feet of helium

  • 12" latex balloon → 1 cubic foot of helium

  • 16" latex balloon → 1.5 cubic feet of helium

  • 36" latex balloon → 7 cubic feet of helium

These are the standard balloon sizes typically used when renting a helium tank. To determine the appropriate tank size for your needs, we always ask:

➡ "What size and how many balloons are you inflating?"

This helps us calculate the right helium tank size for your event.

A detailed chart is also available for other balloon sizes below.

Tank Rental Requirements

To rent a helium tank, you will need:
✅ A valid driver’s license
✅ A $200 cash deposit or a credit card on file

We will also ask a few brief questions before renting out the tank.

Safety Guidelines

  • Helium is an inert gas and safe to use, but it is not safe to inhale. While some people do it for a high-pitched voice effect, it displaces oxygen and can cause suffocation. Never inhale helium.

  • Do not use helium in a small, enclosed space, as it can quickly replace breathable air.

  • Always transport helium tanks with the lid securely on.

  • Never carry a tank by the valve (the wheel-like part that turns the helium on and off). Always handle with care.

  • Bleed the filler after closing the tank to prevent leakage—helium is expensive, and this step helps conserve it.

Following these guidelines will ensure a safe and smooth balloon inflation experience. Let us know if you have any questions!

"A 300cf tank weighs approximately 125 lbs, making it difficult to handle. If you don't have a dolly or assistance to load and unload it from your truck, it’s best to order smaller tanks instead. For the most convenient option, we offer delivery services."
