Streets To Studio
Non-Profit

Introducing Streets to Studio: A Creative Space for Kids

We're thrilled to announce the launch of Streets to Studio, a nonprofit initiative that provides kids aged 8 and older with a place to hang out, create, and express themselves through art at no cost! The studio will be open for DIY art projects using materials I already have, as well as any supplies that others can donate or that I can purchase as the program grows.

How You Can Help:

  • When: Wednesday afternoons after school.

  • Where: My studio in Natomas- 3995 N Freeway Blvd Sacramento CA 95834

  • Who: Kids aged 8+.

  • What: Kids can use available art supplies, and we gladly welcome donations of extra art materials or snacks to keep things running smoothly!

  • Volunteers to hang out and supervise will hopefully be needed soon.  A background check with the DOJ will be needed and the cost is approximately $50.

  •

Monetary Donations Needed: We’ve just started this nonprofit and are seeking monetary donations to help cover essential expenses. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline to get our IRS documentation (such as the 501(c)(3) form) in time for the latest grant opportunities, and since we’re located in Sacramento County—not the city—we aren’t eligible for many of the local art grants.

I’m not looking to make this program big or for personal profit—just enough to cover the costs that my family has been paying out of pocket, which we can no longer afford. Here’s where donations will go:

  • Annual LLC fees for the nonprofit. $800

  • Accounting and Tax Returns $100

  • Snacks for ten kids for the year $500

  • Approximately $2,500 a year for art supplies.

  • Covering summer art camp fees for up to 10 kids who can’t afford it. $3,000

  • $6900 for the first year will cover the expenses for 11 kids one day a week after school, and 10 kids for one week of summer art camp.

Every penny counts, and I promise full transparency. At the end of each year, anyone who donates will receive a detailed tax receipt showing exactly how every cent was spent. Last year, my family spent almost $4,000 to make this happen, and while we can write some of it off, our business is still recovering from COVID.

I love what I do, and I believe this space is important for the kids in our community. If you’d like to help—whether through donations, spreading the word, or if you know someone with grant-writing expertise—I’d be truly grateful.

Thank you for considering supporting Streets to Studio. Together, we can continue making art accessible for the kids in our community.
